Global semiconductor sales increase 29.2% to US$44.5bil in June


PETALING JAYA: Worldwide sales of semiconductors rose 29.2% to US$44.5bil in June 2021 against US$34.5bil in June 2020, according to the Semiconductor Industry Association (SIA).

“Sales in June were 2.1% more than the May 2021 total of US$43.6bil. Sales during the second quarter of 2021 were US$133.6bil, an increase of 29.2% over the second quarter of 2020 and 8.3% more than the first quarter of 2021,” SIA said in a statement.
